PackPoint
A B2B ordering portal for a packaging supplier. Business customers browse a live catalogue with their own prices, reorder in a few clicks and track every order, while orders flow into the supplier's ERP.
Demo with fictional data.
The situation
Business customers reordered the same packaging by phone and email, and every order was retyped into the ERP by the sales team.
What changed
Customers order on their own, with their own prices and live stock. Orders land in the ERP automatically and invoices come back to their account, so the team spends its time selling instead of typing.
Built for a packaging supplier whose business customers reorder the same boxes, tape and film every few weeks.
“Our customers reorder on their own now, and orders reach our ERP without anyone retyping them. Gonzalo understood how our business works before he wrote a line of code.”
Goals
- Move recurring packaging orders from phone and email to self-service.
- Show each customer their own prices, stock, orders and documents in one place.
- Reward repeat purchasing with a loyalty programme.
- Connect web orders with the supplier's ERP without double counting sales.
What it does
- A customer dashboard with purchase KPIs, category breakdowns, top products, recent orders and replenishment alerts.
- A catalogue with categories, search, stock badges and per-company tier pricing.
- A cart with automatic tier discounts and suggested products, and a checkout with delivery address, date and notes.
- Order tracking with a status timeline, one-click repeat orders, and secure downloads of invoices and delivery notes.
- A loyalty programme with bronze, silver and gold tiers. Points are awarded automatically when an order is delivered.
- Company accounts with several addresses and team invitations.
- A supplier back office with a cross-customer dashboard, catalogue editing and an ERP connection tester.
AI and automation
- AI generates the catalogue images. Products without a photo get a studio-style product image, created from a category-specific prompt and stored automatically.
- Smart order suggestions surface frequent, complementary and replenishment products from each customer's history.
- Orders are pushed to the ERP automatically, and the ERP calls back through signed webhooks to keep statuses and documents in sync.
- The ERP integration path was chosen with an AI agent in plan mode, which tested the live API endpoints and documented what each one actually returned.
Engineering notes
- The browser never talks to the ERP. All ERP traffic goes through server functions that keep secrets server-side and validate webhook signatures.
- An ERP failure never blocks a customer's order. The error is recorded on the order for follow-up, and the customer still gets a confirmation.
- Electronic invoices are the source of truth for sales, with a deduplication rule that unifies web orders and ERP invoices.
- Two levels of roles, for the supplier and for each customer company, are enforced with row-level security.
